Hindi Typing Test — Krutidev, Mangal Inscript & Remington GAIL
Most state exams — UPSSSC, RSMSSB, Bihar and MP court exams — test Hindi typing at 25–30 WPM, while SSC and CPCT offer Mangal Inscript and Remington GAIL. Our Hindi typing test has all three layouts built in, so you can type Hindi on a normal English keyboard without installing Krutidev or Mangal fonts, and get Net WPM, accuracy and full/half mistakes counted the way exams count them.

Is this typing test free?
Yes. Every typing test, exam test, course lesson, game and tool on TypingTestKaro is free and works in your browser without installing any software or creating an account.
Can I take a Hindi typing test in Krutidev or Mangal?
Yes. Choose Mangal Inscript, Krutidev 010 or Remington GAIL from the layout menu of the test above. The layouts are built in, so you can type Hindi on a normal English keyboard — no Hindi font or keyboard installation needed.
How is typing speed calculated?
Gross WPM = (key depressions ÷ 5) ÷ minutes. Net WPM subtracts your uncorrected mistakes per minute from the gross speed. We also show accuracy, error percentage, KDPH, full mistakes and half mistakes.
What typing speed is needed for SSC and other govt exams?
SSC CHSL LDC/JSA needs 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi in 10 minutes; RRB NTPC needs 30 WPM English or 25 WPM Hindi; SSC DEST needs 8,000 key depressions per hour. See the table above and the exam list for every exam.
How should I prepare for a typing test?
Learn the layout first with a free course, then take a 5 or 10-minute test every day to build speed and accuracy. Two weeks before the exam, practise on your exam's test page with highlighting and backspace set as in the real exam.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, the site works on phones and tablets. For Hindi on a phone, switch on My Hindi IME and use your phone's Hindi keyboard. For real exam practice we recommend a computer keyboard.
